Today Disney announced a New Play Disney Parks App which is coming to both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. This new free app will let guests explore the parks in a whole new way, and let them interact with the environments they are in.
It will be especially fun for guests to stay entertained while they are waiting in queues for the attractions as they will be able to interact with friends and family while in that specific location. Disney hasn’t shared any particulars yet on what exactly the app will let you do, just that “The more you explore the parks, the more there will be to discover on the app.” This certainly opens up a whole new world of opportunities and should really enhance the user experience. They way people are always attached to their phones already, it could really keep them in sync with what is happening around them. I’m very intrigued.
Disney has been continuing to offer new features through digital services. Just yesterday we learned that the new Digital Key feature is available in select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and will allow guests to use their phones to open their hotel rooms. Also one of the best improvements has been the Disney Mobile Order Service allowing you to order your food ahead of time and skip the lines in various Quick Service locations throughout the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Parks.
Stay tuned for more info about the Play Disney Parks App, if done correctly it could re-invent the way we experience the Disney Parks!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
