Since the news about Toy Story Land opening June 30th broke last week, immediately I started having visions of attraction lines lasting 5 hours long. While that is likely to still be the case, Disney announced some good news to help guests visiting Toy Story Land. Hollywood Studios Extra Magic Hours are coming this Summer starting form the opening of Toy Story Land June 30th, through at least all of July 2018.
The Extra Magic Hours for Hollywood Studios will be as follows:
- June 30th: (7am-8am EMH) 8am – 11pm
- After June 30th: Daily, (7am-8am EMH) 8am – 11pm
- Every Friday in July: (7am-8am EMH) 8am – 10pm and (10pm – 12am EMH)
Extra Magic Hours are only available for guests staying on-site at a Disney Resort and just one of the reasons why You Should Stay at a Walt Disney World Resort while on vacation.
The Extra Magic Hours for Toy Story Land is similar to the Extra Magic Hours Disney had for the opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar last year. The crowds might not be quite as big, especially at night(Pandora is a huge draw at night because of the bioluminescent forest), but the Extra Magic Hours for Hollywood Studios should help.
There was a ton of Toy Story Land News last week. Height Requirements were announced for the attractions. A new video of Slinky Dog Dash in operation was posted too. Plus our latest Toy Story Land Construction Update!
Don’t forget that FastPass+ Reservations for the Toy Story Land attractions are now available too, so make sure to read my in-depth Toy Story Land FastPass+ Strategy Guide to help you get the best of your visit.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
