One of the least known restaurants in Disney Springs just might become a bit more well-known later this year. The Italian restaurant Portobello is closing April 23rd for a major refurbishment project. Portobello, which is owned by Levy Restaurants (Paddlefish), will get a physical overhaul as well as a completely new menu. It’s going to have a “Family Style” menu along with Italian Craft Beers and Wines. James Beard winning Chef Tony Mantuano will be designing the new menu.
Portobello used to be much more popular, but with the new wave of Disney Springs restaurants has gotten lost in the shuffle. It’s become kinda the go-to place in Disney Springs if you can’t get a table at another restaurant. It needs an overhaul and should kick some life back into the place, I’m personally very excited to see the changes because Walt Disney World is lacking good, authentic Italian restaurants, and it has a lot of promise.
Portobello is expected to be finished in the Fall 2017. I’ll keep you updated with any new info.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
