About a month ago Disney announced that the Pandora Extra Magic Hours would run through July 4th. I thought that because of the massive success it would be longer, and now we know the Pandora Extra Magic Hours are extended through at least August 19th, 2017.
However there is a slight change in the hours, while from now through July 4th the Pandora Extra Magic Hours are from 11:00pm – 1:00am, then from July 5th – August 19th it’s from 10:00pm – 12:00am each night.
What’s not yet known is if there will be other attractions open in the Animal Kingdom as well during the Extra Magic Hours or if it will only be the attractions in Pandora: The World of Avatar. Lately the other attractions have been open as well, but we’ll have to keep an eye on it.
This is good news because you absolutely HAVE to experience Pandora: The World of Avatar at night, when the bio-luminescent forest really comes to life! It’s a must do! And now you have more opportunity. As for what the hours will be after we still don’t know. My guess is that since Pandora is such an awesome experience at night, they will extend the Pandora Extra Magic Hours, but not every evening like it is now, it will probably be limited to once or twice a week until the holiday season come around.
Stay tuned for more changes…

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
