Things are moving at break-neck speed over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Of course the majority of the focus is on the upcoming Toy Story Land and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, both of which we just got brand new models for in the newly remodeled Walt Disney Presents.
But before you can even get to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll first need to go through the new Grand Avenue section of the park. Thanks to @bioreconstruct we have a look at some of the Grand Avenue construction progress including the BaseLine Tap House through September 2017. Let’s take a look:
Around in the Muppets Courtyard(soon to be called Grand Park) we get a look at a good part of Grand Avenue and really see it’s coming together quite nicely! Here we have a shot of what looks to be a Music Shop Storefront, goes along with the hip-vibe Grand Ave is supposed to give off:
Addresses are starting to show up on the buildings too. This one is 72 Grand Avenue:
Here’s another look at the storefront windows with clothes being added to the displays…
Tux anyone?
A close look gives you a shot of the freshly painted mural that’s up on the wall of BaseLine Tap House:
Speaking of which, one of the main points of Grand Avenue is going to be the BaseLine Tap House, a pub serving up small style eats and focusing on California Wines, Ales, Beers and Lagers. Here we get a look at the sign up which is themed to moveable typography. Fitting seeing as the BaseLine Tap House used to be a mom and pop print shop with ties to the Disney Studios in Burbank…
The sign on the wall sheds more light onto the back-story showing that it used to be the Figueroa Printing Company, which is also what we’re betting the Gate to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is being modeled after…
We also have some of the food and beverage offerings for the BaseLine Tap House, and the Hours which will be from 11am until 8:30pm:
Here you can see an outside seating area for BaseLine with tables and umbrellas setup:
You can see the backstage gates for Grand Avenue getting facing:
Now by looking at the layout of Grand Avenue you’ll also see that it borders with Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. In fact at the far end of Grand Avenue you can see the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge:
A closer look at the Galaxy’s Edge entrance which I’ll go into further detail about in my next Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Construction progress report:
Grand Avenue opens this Fall (if everything goes to plan) so the rest of the construction should move right along the next couple months…
Your Thoughts:
I want to know what you think about the Grand Avenue construction progress. Are you happy with the design of Grand Avenue? How does the BaseLine Pat house look to you? Let us know in the comments section below!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
