Starting today Disney is testing Virtual Queues at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. What are Virtual Queues? Essentially they’re just like FastPass+ in that you reserve a place in line for one of the attractions without having to wait in line the whole time, in theory having more time to do more. The only difference is you can’t make reservations online from home, you need to wait till you get to the park to do so.
The test will run from Today – April 7th and include:
Blizzard Beach:
- Summit Plummet
- Slush Gusher
- Double Dipper
Typhoon Lagoon:
- Miss Fortune Falls (brand new)
This obviously is in response to the opening of Universal Studios’ Volcano Bay, which includes a Virtual Queuing system of their own.
Your Thoughts:
I want to know what you think about the new Virtual Queues at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Do you like the idea? Is there a better solution Disney can install? Let us know in the comments section below!

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.
