Construction on the TRON coaster has been going on for about 4 years already, yet we still don’t have an opening date for the ride.

However, now it looks like the TRON Lightcycle Run coaster might not even open in 2022, with a potential 2023 opening date possible.

The main reason behind this new delay for the TRON coaster is a lack of funds. Disney CEO Bob Chapek famously announced a $700 million budget cut Disney took on all construction projects.

TRON Lightcycle Run will NOT be ready in time for Summer 2022, and at the very earliest we are looking at a Fall 2022 opening, and even that seems unlikely.
