Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Closing for Long Refurbishment in 2024

Refurbishment season at Walt Disney World is in the air again, and this time, one of the most popular rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is closing for a long refurbishment in 2024.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on January 8, 2024, for what is going to be a multi-month refurb.

(UPDATE) – Rumors are always flying about Disney changing the theme of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and dropping Aerosmith from the attraction.

Right now Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is expected to reopen in the Summer of 2024, but Disney has not given a specific date at this time.

How Long is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Closed?

Currently, we lack a precise reopening timeline. Disney's official website mentions Rock 'n' Roller Coaster's return in "Summer 2024," spanning from late May to early September.

However, we are still too far away to get a reopening date as way too many things can happen to delay the project.

To us, Summer 2024 sounds very vague, so it would not surprise us if it was extended until after that.
