Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Closed for Refurbishment Last November

The Disney World water parks closed in 2020 and have been taking turns being open since then. Typhoon Lagoon will be closed again for refurbishment and it started last November 13, 2022.

In this story, we will talk about the Typhoon Lagoon refurbishment project, when it’s happening, how long it will be closed for, and what changes are coming to our favorite Disney water park!

Blizzard Beach is getting a big refurbishment with brand-new “Frozen” theming being added and replacing some of the original theming.

However, with Disney making the IP changes to Blizzard Beach, it’s always possible they decide to do something similar to Typhoon Lagoon, we’ll have to wait and see.

Adult guests can even choose to complement their DOLE Whips by adding tequila and coconut rum. And make sure also to check out new Moana-inspired DOLE Whip cones, also available at Snack Shack.

We’re sure that when Typhoon Lagoon reopens again (likely sometime in 2023), they will have some more new snacks to try for the Disney 100th celebration.

Whatever changes have been made, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we find out more info. Stay tuned here to Ziggy Knows Disney for all the latest on the Typhoon Lagoon refurbishment!
