Disney Vacation Club Expansion

The Disney Vacation Club has just announced an expansion coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where it will be adding 200 new homes to the property.

This is not a new construction from the ground up. Instead, an existing building at the Grand Floridian Resort

It will be converted from regular hotel rooms to Disney Vacation Club homes.

As of this writing, there are only 100 DVC rooms at the Grand Floridian Resort and this expansion will effectively triple occupancy.

This is important due to the extreme popularity of the resort which is strategically located on the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Monorail loop.

The transformation will take place in the Big Pine Key building (building nine), remodeling its approximate 200 rooms into Resort Suites that can accommodate up to five guests each.

These new DVC Villas will include stunning views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and are conveniently located near the main building and in between the two pools.

That will make for easy access to the resort’s amenities and transportation to Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

These new Villas are an expansion of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and will be a part of its current condominium association like all the other DVC Resorts at Walt Disney World.
