Are Face Masks Required in Disney World?

Disney has just announced that face masks are no longer required on the Disney Skyliner and some other transportation for fully vaccinated guests.

It also recently dropped the face mask policy indoors for all vaccinated guests at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels.

At this moment face masks are still required for non-vaccinated guests in some parts of the resort and are an essential part of theme park attire as much as walking shoes and Mickey ears, if not more.

After many months, some major changes have been made to Disney World’s face covering policy recently and eliminated the rule for vaccinated guests.

Up until now, even though face masks were optional indoors for vaccinated guests, they were still required for all guests regardless of vaccination status on Walt Disney World transportation.

Meanwhile, face masks are still required for all guests on the Walt Disney World buses and monorails, and non-vaccinated guests are asked to wear them in all indoor areas of the resort.

How Long Will Disney Require Masks? They removed the outdoor requirement for everyone and even made wearing a face covering indoors optional for vaccinated guests.

Here is what Disney said: “Beginning February 17, 2022, Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations.”

"We expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters."
