By now you know about the new space-themed restaurant being built near the Mission: SPACE attraction in Epcot’s Future World. Well we have good news as today Disney just announced that the Mission: SPACE Restaurant is opening in 2019!
This restaurant will be run by the Patina Group (Via Napoli) and will give diners the unique sensation that they eating a meal in outer space. One way they are doing this is by creating a gigantic space window in the middle of the restaurant which guests will be able to look out of and watch the planets and stars go by.
No word on exactly what the menu is going to be yet but The Patina Restaurant Group is developing a brand new menu featuring: “internationally-inspired cuisine, more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer.” I guess no freeze-dried stuff here…
An opening date in 2019 is unexpected, especially since they just put up the walls only a month or two ago, but Disney must feel confident in their construction schedule at this point.
We’re not sure about the exact opening date yet, but it has to be later on in the year. I wouldn’t think it would be before November or December, but we’ll let you know as soon as we have more info.
I want to know what you think about the Epcot space-themed restaurant opening in 2019…
